Unlike previous trips, the two brothers decided they would leave their location in Matamoros which was about 20 minutes south of Brownsville, Texas at about 2 AM and make the trip back to the United States. According to Ernesto Garcia’s wife, the two men never drove home at night and always waited until the day time to make the drive.
