The US Army Criminal Investigation Command is offering a $15,000 reward for information about a Jane Doe found in Training area 9 of Joint Base Lewis-McChord Washington 98433 (Pierce County). On October 13, 2010, the skull of an adult female, approximately 25-40 years old, was discovered in the vicinity of Spanaway McKenna Highway (WA 507) and Pacific Avenue South (WA 7) inside of Training Area 9. After an extensive search of the area by CID and other law enforcement agencies, only a skull and several vertebrae were recovered at the scene. The rest of the victim’s remains have never been found. CID wants to stress the most identifiable and notable feature that may lead to the identity of the deceased is a defect of unknown origin on the victim’s front tooth on the lower jaw (pictured above). Although important, the facial reconstruction pictured above is a recreation based on all available forensic evidence and may not be an exact likeness of the deceased. The victim’s race is still unknown at this time, and it is possible that the victim could have been of a mixed ancestry. The Office of the Armed Forces Medical Examiner estimates the victim to have died between April and June of 2010. The testing revealed the victim may have spent her childhood/adolescence and the last ten years prior to her death in Oregon or California. http://www.cid.army.mil/assets/docs/press-releases/HUMANREMAINSJBLM.pdf 22nd Military Police Battalion (CID)
